Whew - traveling with kids isn't exhausting enough let's add a family photo session!
A couple months back we decided it was time for our first big family trip. Our goal was to spend some time in Ireland learning about the McCue family ancestors, zip over to London to visit the Harry Potter studio tour, and stop in Iceland on the way back home. Easy enough right? Why not add to the planning/packing coordinating outfits and bringing along the tripod!
Coming up with a color palette was tough knowing it would be very green and likely overcast. If you know my style I much prefer golden hour light and epic sunsets. I settled on neutrals, pinks, and sage green. It was tough to coordinate outfits as anything we packed had to also serve as an outfit for the day. We also didn't have the space for cute shoes so had to settle for our hiking boots.
While in Ireland we spent two nights at a beautiful airbnb in Kinvarra. This is the location of our family session. I carved out an hour in our morning before a day of sightseeing. In true Ireland fashion the weather did not cooperate at all. Many of these photos were taken in 30 second bursts followed by running inside as it was sprinkling. Then of course the sun came out as we finished up!
We've been back home for a few weeks now and I'm still tired! We took so many planes, trains, and buses! Not an expert but always happy to share travel tips and places we've stayed/visited if you're interested.
